Rain/Shine: In the unfortunate event of a rainy day (and it had better not!), we have an inside venue at the Grange in Alsea. We are only moving to this venue in the case of significant rain, please call the farm at 541-486-4085 if you are unsure. The Grange is easy to find by (coming from Eugene) turning RIGHT on Alsea-Deadwood Hwy (instead of left toward the farm) and watch for the Grange on your right before you enter the small town of Alsea. From the coast, just remain on Hwy 34 all the way to Alsea, then turn right on Alsea-Deadwood Hwy; the Grange will then be on your left.
We realised that the time of the wedding wasn't posted here! So as a reminderit is 3pm on Saturday! See you all very soon! Things to know about the wedding site Attire: Ladies, we advise you to leave your heels at home! The uneven ground requires flat shoes. Also be aware that the temperature may drop in the evenings (especially on the coast), so please bring an extra layer. Animals: Due to the farm's small animal population along with the anticipated presence of many small children we would ask for no dogs at the wedding please; any dogs brought to the site will be required to remain in the upper pasture safely secured to a vehicle. Phones: There is NO CELL SERVICE at the farm! Any wedding day communications to the farm, please call the landline: 541-486-4085 1st June update Hopefully most of you will have received your invitation by now; if it doesn't arrive in the next week or so then please let us know! Our host at the venue (and Misha's good friend), Angela, donated her postcard collection for our RSVP cards, so please enjoy the one selected for you and send it winging it's way back to us! We are getting excited for the big day as it draws closer, and very much look forward to having everyone here to celebrate with us. For those staying overnight on Saturday at the farm or nearby, we will be having a big blueberry pancake feast on Sunday morning and hope everyone will join us. Speaking of food, we would kindly ask that everyone staying at the farm only bring vegetarian food to the site. Thanks!
On 26th July 2008 Misha and Rob will bemarried! The venue is Common Treasury Farm, located in beautiful Lobster Valley, near Alsea, Oregon. As our big day draws near, we wanted to encourage everyone to start thinking about their accomodation plans for the wedding weekend. Whilst plenty of camping space will be available at the farm for the more hardy of our friends and family, many accommodations are available on the beautiful Oregon coast. Below are some links for Waldport, located just 35 minutes from the wedding site. More plentiful accommodation options are available in Newport, approximately one hour from the venue. No matter what you choose, be sure that the Howard Johnson's in Waldport is avoided at all costs!
A web search is the best method to discover what is available. Finally, there will be water and electricity hook-ups at the wedding site for those who may wish to bring their campers. There are also lots of camp grounds nearby. |
